Reader's Guide

You hear one important book a week, taught for an Indian business.

You work in English every day, so this was never a question of language. A serious business book runs 300 pages, it takes about 3 weeks to read properly, and the examples inside it come from companies that look nothing like yours. I read the book, I teach the whole of it in a single audio, and I set the ideas inside an Indian business rather than an American one.

Join Reader's Guide Listen to 3 extracts first

There are 3 extracts you can hear before you pay anything, and each one runs about 5 minutes. Listen to them first.

  • 12 bookswaiting for you on day one
  • 64 bookson your shelf after a year
  • Every Fridaywe sit together on Zoom
  • ₹2,951a year, GST included, to start

01 Hear it before you pay for it

You can listen to 3 extracts, free, right here.

Each of these is about 5 minutes taken out of a full audio, so you can hear how a book gets taught before you decide anything. A real audio runs as long as the book needs it to, which across the first 12 books measured between 30 minutes and just under 4 hours, with most of them between 40 minutes and 2 hours. Nothing is asked of you here, and if it is not for you then close the page and we are done.

  • 01Good Strategy, Bad StrategyThis one sits in the Direction block. You hear the idea at the centre of the book and the test it hands you for your own strategy.
  • 02There's Got to Be a Better WayThis one sits in The Machine block, so you are hearing a different part of the business taught in the same way.
  • 03Thinking in BetsThis one sits in The Owner block, and it is here so that you are judging the series rather than a single good day.

Or take them with you

The 3 extracts, sent to your phone

Most owners listen while driving rather than at a desk. Give me a name and a number and all 3 reach you on WhatsApp, where they will still be there next week.

02 Why this exists

Choosing the right book is the part nobody does for you.

Every month brings more business books than any owner has time to judge, so most owners end up reading whatever is popular that season or whatever sits inside their own trade. A wrong choice costs the same 3 weeks as a right one. I read more than 100 of these books a year for my own work, which means the choosing is finished before you hear a single word.

Then there is the part the book leaves out. It was written for a company that has a marketing head, a finance team and a board that meets every quarter, while you are the owner, the sales head and the person who signs the cheques. Half of that advice assumes people you do not employ, so somebody has to tell you which half transfers to a business like yours and which half does not.

I read more than 100 books a year, and I have coached around 95 businesses in 9 years. What you are buying is not the summary. It is the choosing, the teaching, the single page you keep, the workbook on your own numbers, and the Friday session where you get to argue with it.

03 What you get, and when

You get a new book every Saturday, and we sit together on Zoom every Friday.

The week is fixed so that you always know what day carries what. The Friday session works on the book that arrived the Saturday before, so you come to it having already listened and already filled in your workbook.

  • 01Saturday nightThe new book is released. You get the full audio in English and the single page that holds the framework, the tests and the move.
  • 02Sunday to WednesdayYou listen, usually in the car or on a walk. Most books take about an hour, and the audio runs as long as the book needs rather than to a fixed length.
  • 03Wednesday to FridayYou fill in the workbook on your own numbers rather than on the book's examples. This is the part that turns an idea you understood into a decision you made.
  • 04Friday, 8.00 to 9.30 pmWe sit together on Zoom for 90 minutes and work through the book you have just filled in. You send your questions in writing, through the workbook and through the chat, and I answer the ones that matter aloud.

04 The library

You are joining a shelf that is already full, and it grows every week.

This is the part most people misunderstand when they first hear about it. You are not subscribing to a promise of content. You are joining a library that already exists and that gets bigger every single week whether you keep up with it or not.

  • 01You are not joining an empty shelfOn the day this opens there are already 12 books finished and waiting for you, and they cover all 6 questions twice over. You are not waiting for content to be made.
  • 02One new book arrives every weekA new book is added every Saturday, for as long as you are a member. At the end of 3 months the shelf holds 25 books, at 6 months it holds 38, and at the end of the first year it holds 64.
  • 03Nothing is ever taken awayOnce a book is released it stays released. A member who joins in the ninth month is buying access to 48 books and not just to the newest one.
  • 04The shelf is the pointA single summary is worth an hour. A shelf of 64 taught books is a reference you go back to when an old problem becomes relevant again.

The English library opens once all 12 English books are recorded to the standard, and 1 of the 12 is finished today.

05 The 6 questions

Every book on the shelf answers 1 of 6 questions.

The order is the order a business gets diagnosed in rather than the order a bookshelf is arranged in. It starts with you because you are the constraint, then sets direction, then creates demand, then converts it, then builds the machine that delivers, and only then counts the money. Start with the question that is actually yours, which is usually the one you avoid.

  • 01The OwnerAm I the reason this business cannot grow? This block covers mindset, psychology, productivity, leadership and the way you decide.
  • 02DirectionWhere do we play, and why would anyone choose us? This block covers strategy, business models, revenue models and strategic choice.
  • 03DemandWhy do they not know we exist? This block covers marketing, branding, advertising and market awareness.
  • 04RevenueHow do we sell without it depending on me? This block covers selling and the mechanisms behind it.
  • 05The MachineWill this run without me in the room? This block covers people, culture, process and the way the work actually runs.
  • 06MoneyWhere is the cash going, and what should we charge? This block covers cash, pricing, and both company and personal finance.

06 Two ways in

You can take the library on its own, or you can take the practice.

Both carry every audio and every one page framework sheet. The difference is whether you work the idea on your own or in a session with other owners. The Notes is a library, so it is sold by the year. The Table is a weekly practice, so it is sold by the month.

  • 01The NotesYou get the full audio for every book and the single page that holds the framework, the tests and the move. It costs about an hour of your week. This is sold as a 12 month membership and in no other way, because the value of it is a shelf growing from 12 books to 64, and that does not happen inside 1 month.₹2,951
  • 02The TableYou get everything above, and 2 things more. There is a workbook that puts your own business and your own numbers through the framework, and there is the Friday session on Zoom where we work through it together. It costs about 3 and a half hours of your week. There is no limit on how many people can join the session.₹650

The Notes is ₹2,951 for the year, which works out at about ₹246 a month and is paid once. The Table is ₹650 a month. Both amounts include GST at 18 per cent, so the number you read here is the number the payment screen will ask you for.

Both buttons open the payment screen directly. The Notes is paid once and opens straight away. The Table is a monthly autopay that you approve once on the payment screen.

07 The founding price

Join on or before 2 October 2026 and your price is held for 3 years.

Anyone who joins on or before 2 October 2026 keeps the price he joined at until October 2029. The Notes stays at ₹2,951 a year and The Table stays at ₹650 a month. At that point the price is looked at again, and it may well stay where it is.

The lock belongs to the membership rather than to the person, so a member who stops and comes back later pays the price on the day he returns. I am promising 3 years rather than for ever, because 3 years is long enough to be worth something to you and short enough that I can actually keep it.

08 Who should listen

This is for the owner who wants the thinking without the 300 pages.

  • 01You run a business anywhere in India and you work in English. You do not need a translation, you need the time back.
  • 02You want the book taught rather than listed. If a summary of the key points were enough, you would have found one free by now.
  • 03You want 1 idea you can use on Monday rather than a summary you can repeat at dinner. If the purpose is to sound well read, this is not for you.
